He froze nearly at the top when he looked up and found cold teal eyes narrowed at him, pinning him in place. Whether Dan Feng had been tapping into the wards or his senses were just enhanced to an absurd degree right now he didn't know, and it didn't really matter.
"Gege," he said, swallowing.
"You shouldn't be here, Dan Heng," Dan Feng said, his voice tight and with a growl in it that was impossible to ignore.

Summary
Dan Heng didn't go to bars for fun but Dan Feng and Yingxing had a date that they'd apparently been planning for months so Dan Heng had removed himself from the house for the night. Which left him with nothing really to do, and it was late enough that most regular places were closed. He was going to spend a few hours here, trying various drinks and food on Dan Feng's tab just to see what he liked about this place, and then he'd grab a hotel room and either go to bed or work on his latest research paper. That was it.
A plan that was thoroughly disrupted by an unfamiliar man sliding into the seat next to him at the bar. "Can I help you?" he asked, not quite managing polite.
"I think you can," the man said in a light voice that spelled trouble, gold eyes glinting. "Can I buy you a drink?"

Ren scoffed, glaring at him from the side. "You can't really expect that to work. I'm not so easily broken and it won't- take long for them to find me when they notice I'm gone."
If he'd expected to deter Jing Yuan he must be very disappointed as Jing Yuan only tipped his head to the side with amusement, lion's tail flicking behind him. "I have my ways. You should know that by now. And I find it doubtful that even the Stellaron Hunters will be able to find you here." Jing Yuan reached up to run a hand through that dark hair instead, tightening into a fist as he leaned down to purr, "You're mine now, A-Ren. You'll get used to it."
"Like hell." Ren growled and wrenched his head away, but it only made Jing Yuan chuckle and allow it as his plans solidified.
"We'll see," he said mildy as he rose.
