Summary
Bloodymary (Ryland Grace PHM x Simon Iron Lung)Medeival Europe Fairytale Epic set after the fall of the Roman Empire.
Twenty years after saving the world from the darkest year in human history (536 AD*) Ryland Grace is pulled back into saving the world again after meeting Simon, who survives an angry, cursed wood. It seems the forest wants to consume everything and Ryland and Simon must collaborate to save the land of the living from the growing horrors.
Over the tale, our heroes will travel among humans, the land of the Fairy, venture into the Underworld to visit a prophet (a la Dante, Virgil, Homer), and brave a corrupted, consuming wood. If planting trees is for future generations, as is saving the world, there's an awful trouble to falling in love while doing it.

Summary
This is a one off from my longer medieval Fantasy AU in the same series (come for the Gay hope core stay for the historical mythical funfacts). There is a LOT that happened in that 125k words and this will contain references that are SPOILERS. However, if you choose to read this as stand-alone or don't entirely recall what happened, you'll have all important information covered. It'll just read as insane because of all the lore rework getting DUMPED for the fantasy AU. If you ARE familiar with the main au tale, this will have less in the way of character arcs and is really more an opportunity for me to be like "lets drop them in a different folk/myth/historical moment")
Grace happens across the origin-tale of gargoyles and sneakily interrupts it. Simon and Grace end up with an angsty dragon on their hands for ten years.
This isn't my strongest work, but it is as ever self indulgent. Very excited for the next though.

Grace, Fae touched, gets captured and thought to be a spawn of Satan. Simon, part time tree spirit of the forest, saves him. During his traumatized recovery in Fairy, Grace looks like a werefox. These two being absolute freaks for each other mess around.
