On their journey to defeat the Mouse King, Hans and Clara are always running into trouble. However, on this night, danger chases them to something more, a tale that will show them that their journey is part of an even greater one. For they are the final saga to the lost story of the Nutcrackers.

Summary
Before the final stretch of their journey, Hans and Clara are given some much needed, final help from a very unlikely source.
This is a sequel to my previous fanwork, Night of the Nutcrackers’ Requiem. Please read that first, if you haven’t already.
This is, of course, set in ShinyZango’s The Nutcracker.
Some of these scenes were inspired by the Hero’s Shade from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and StarClan (the Warrior Clans’ afterlife) from the Warriors book series.
Has a reference to pooka-dragon’s fanfic for the fandom, Wield (can be found on Tumblr), and by extension one of ShinyZango’s comics.

Summary
When all has been said and done, and the Mouse menace has been vanquished forever, what is left behind? What is Althea’s future now?
This is a sequel to my previous fanwork, The Heavens Will Guide You, part of my short series set in ShinyZango’s The Nutcracker story (and also kind of an “ending credits” scene to the ending of her adaption). So please read the first stories, if you haven’t already.
This is, of course, set in ShinyZango’s The Nutcracker and refers several times to her characters, Hans and Clara.
This is actually my first Nutcracker writing that does not feature an appearance by ShinyZango’s characters, so have mercy! XD
Story inspired by and written to the songs, “Nightsky” by Tracey Chattaway, “And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness” by Ólafur Arnalds, “I Will Always Return” (End Title) by Bryan Adams, and “Heart Stops Beating” by Joshua Micah.
Recommend playing Nightsky for the last half of this. :>
