“Go away.” Till said hoarsely, voice croaky from being left unused for so long. The damaged vocal chords didn't help and the imaginary pressure on his windpipe made him sound even more strained.
“Is this how you greet me? You wound me, Till.”
Hearing his name spoken by him felt like an insult, each syllable stinging more than the previous one. He didn't deserve to say his name, and Till didn't deserve to hear him say it. It felt wrong, out of place. It didn't belong in his mouth. On his tongue. Caged behind his teeth. His menacing fangs trapping him.
“Just… leave.”
“Sure you don't need a hand? Seems like you could use one. Or two.”
