The omega farms are always a gamble, one that Joel prefers taking. He comes out beaten but alive, another heat put behind him and a handful of months spread out ahead of him. Such is his life, a limbo of existence, job seeking and house hunting and almost dying from a fever that threatens to melt his brain.
Joel's options for dealing with his heat are omega clinics or farms and he'd rather die in a farm than in a clinic. Sami wants to find out why.

The camcorder doesn't respond of course. No, Niko has to push the right buttons and flip open the screen first. When he does, the grainy video greets him with muffled voices and frantic clicking and heavy breathing.
Niko has to go through and clear out stuff that has accumulated over years of touring, mostly mementoes and sentimental things. He finds something interesting amongst those things.

So here he is, lying on his bedroom floor, wearing a winter coat over his normal lounging-around-the-house clothes, too cold to shiver, and with his hand throbbing in a way that indicated it was going to hurt like hell when it warmed up properly.
In other words, this is probably the reason Joonas had forgotten that he’d given Tommi – newly his boyfriend Tommi – a key to his apartment and invited him to let himself in that evening when he arrived from Oulu if Joonas was out.
He quickly remembers at the sound of hurried footsteps outside his bedroom door and Tommi’s call of “Joonas?”
Joonas comes back from a tough errantry and forgot Tommi might be in. Now he has some explaining to do.

You’d watched the show from the wings, as close to Aleksi as you could be. From the angle, you couldn’t really see his face or his hands, but just watching him play was enough, watching him bring his drumsticks down hard on his drum pad, jumping up and down to the beat. It was intense, the way he moved, frenetic like a building storm trapped in human skin, prowling and restless like a panther.
So it was no surprise after the show when he saw you and reached out for you instantly, pulling you after him into the depths of the venue with a tight grip on your wrist.
“Where are we going?” you asked breathlessly, desperate for him to slow down so you could kiss him.
