Summary
Seungkwan brushes the hair at the top of Jun’s head aside — and sees antlers.
A sudden thump to his legs makes Seungkwan look down to see also... tail.
It sways slightly, brushing against his legs — lion-like, with that same familiar down, ending in a light-colored tuft. There’s a bit of scale there too.
Seungkwan, a little hesitantly, cups Jun’s face.
“Junnie… look at me, please,” he says carefully.
Jun struggles visibly to follow the request — but manages. And Seungkwan finds himself staring into a pair of glowing, sky-blue eyes.
“You… don’t want to eat me, do you?” he asks, tense.
Jun frowns, baffled.
“No,” he says immediately — then pauses, thinking. “But I would lick you, though. You smell so good, Kwannie, I can’t help it…” And before Seungkwan can react, Jun lunges and licks his cheek.
Seungkwan tries to hold him back — and fails. Jun’s tongue makes a loud, wet pass across his face. That, apparently, shocks Jun just as much, because he pulls back abruptly and freezes.
“That was weird,” he mumbles, and Seungkwan realizes: Jun doesn’t know. He has no idea what’s happened to him.

Don’t let my empty words deter you from your holy quest to cleanse the world — go ahead, erase me from existence with your blessed arrows, all because I dared to ruin some damn flowers. You can always ask Jeonghan afterward whether I was lying or not, if that actually matters to you.”

Summary
Seungkwan always underestimated his own abilities and admired Mingyu’s strength. He was never fair to himself — his magic could easily be called average — but he also never truly knew what his faithful partner was capable of.
Mingyu had never needed to use his magic for anything truly difficult — he didn’t seek greatness and genuinely loved their work in the ritual shop.
It’s almost ironic, then, that his life now resembles the origin story of a villain.

He turned to Chan, voice gentler now. “I know this is sudden. But you’ve worked with us before—your last mission for the crown was handled… impressively. I had my men keep an eye on you, just in case we ever needed your particular skill set again.”

An unusual boy, with a scaly tail in place of legs, is perched on a rock at the water’s edge, looking at Seungkwan with deep annoyance.
“You scared off my meal,” the creature complains, then studies Seungkwan with a curious gaze. “But that’s fine. I like you better. Come here, birdie.”
The creature opens his mouth and… doesn’t speak for a while, while Seungkwan just stands there, frozen, blushing harder at the unexpected nickname.
“Why aren’t you coming?” The creature’s pale eyebrows knit together. “You didn’t like my song?”
That’s when Seungkwan snaps out of it. He starts gesturing frantically, then groans and smacks his own forehead.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you,” he finally says, voice rough and trembling. “I’m sure your song is beautiful—just like you—but... I can’t hear it. As much as I wish I could.”
The creature’s sharp eyes go wide in surprise—like he’s peering straight into Seungkwan’s soul—and then he tilts his head with interest.

“Yeah, and I’m twenty-six. And I used to date his older brother,” Seungkwan mutters as he reaches for his own drink on the small table in front of the couch where the two of them are lounging.
He’d planned to take it easy tonight, but at this point he can’t handle this conversation sober.

Сынгван прикладывает все свои усилия, чтобы не дать ему приблизиться, но с треском проваливается, когда язык Джуна смачно проходится по его щеке. Кажется, внезапность этого действия приводит в чувства и самого Джуна, который отодвигается обратно и замирает в замешательстве.
— Это странно, — выдавливает он из себя, и тогда Сынгван понимает, что его друг ничего не знает про свою неожиданную трансформацию.
