Summary
The Bargarean Jade installs a software update that requires her to announce all incoming transmissions herself.
This, of course, is an unmitigated disaster that almost kills half the crew.

Summary
C-53 was undeniably two dimensional these days, which was fine by him. Two dimensions were easier than three, a square simpler than a cube, an employment less painful than emotion. The restraining bolt had been firmly secured for six months now, and every day that passed made his old profession feel more and more like a distant dream.
A scene rewrite from MTZ episode 301, when Pleck and AJ went to save C-53 from foodservice hell. Corporate blues got me down, man.

Summary
C-53 was positive this was not information he needed to share with Nermut. Or anyone. They had a good thing going, the whole crew. C-53 wasn’t about to juck it up because his cube had slowly rewritten its entire base programming for some random tellurian farmer.
(Or in which a droid becomes organic and can’t ignore his feelings anymore.)
SPOILERS: This fic takes place during episode 504: To Jer is Hermann.

Summary
C-53 has a bad time figuring out what the Hermannoid frame is trying to tell him about what he feels for Pleck in his new short shorts.
Pleck is pretty Plecky about the whole situation.
Things resolve in a hot tub in the reflactorium and a generally pleasant time is had by all.

“Well, C-53,” Pleck answers, “When was the last time you got, well, any sleep at all?”
C-53 scoffs. “I don’t need to sleep. Is that what this is about? I’m a droid. We don’t need to sleep.”
“Nuh-uh,” Dar chimes in, “Nah, we don’t believe that. See, you, C-53, as a cube may not need to sleep. But this body- this frame you’re in? Yeah, you have biological needs now. That you need to meet.”

C-53 puts off going to sleep and the consequences are dire. (It's cuddling) (The consequences are cuddling) -

“Oh,” Pleck said. Then realization dawned. “Oh! So you have like, PTSD or something?”
“I-” C-53 gave him a surprised look. “I wouldn’t… say that exactly, no. The psyche of a droid doesn’t really follow the same chemistry that tellurian brains do.”
“But that’s like, basically what it is,” Pleck contended. “Like the restraining bolt traumatized you.”
“Sure,” C-53 allowed. “If that helps you understand it.”Pleck agrees to help C-53 get comfortable with physical contact again post restraining bolt removal. It's totally a casual agreement between friends, nothing weird going on here. Takes place in Season 2.

There were a lot of things C-53 did not remember, but there were still quite a few things that he wished he could forget. Like that warship, and how he had learned that a single crewmate on the fourth floor could have quite a large impact on its fate.

Summary
He arrived jucking up from day one, and so everyone expected him to juck up all the time. A self-fulfilling prophecy.
And yet they still called him out on it, day after day. So far, they hadn’t given him up.
Until Do’Jamn.
It happened when a robotic hand landed on top of his, cold and formal, guiding his touch gently across a thick layer of sentient moss.
(Alternate summary: In which Pleck has a lot of queer panic/self-doubt and C-53 is barely holding it together.)

Summary
When Pleck Decksetter called you “weird”, what he meant was that you were interesting, and new, and that you were worth learning more about. It was a statement of adoration, of unintentional adoration. It meant he had forgotten that part of his job was to make you like him, just because you were so exciting to look at.
It meant that he would keep looking at you.

Summary
There was something deep in C-53’s code that told him love wasn’t worth it - that it wasn’t ever going to work out. His past brushes with the emotion had only strengthened that particular bit of code, twisting it into an even worse set of ones and zeros that told him love was just a cruel myth; it told him love was something people only thought they felt when they really wanted to juck. Love was just a means to get carnal pleasure. A whimsical distraction from the ugly universe.
But at this point, C-53 was a master at editing his root code, and he had reached a point where he was fed up with that particular set of numbers. He didn’t know what made today different, but he was tired of hiding and faking apathy. He wanted to allow himself to love again. Mostly for the sake of one very pink tellurian.
(This can take place literally any time after episode 314 - when the crew met O4KTЯ33, the droid who taught C-53 to edit his root code.)

Summary
Pleck pulls his legs back up and crosses them again, dropping his head towards his lap and seemingly hiding beneath his hands that rest on his neck. “I don’t know, I used to have, like, this big crush on you. And there’s so much stuff happening recently that I think, if I still did, I’d barely be holding it together.”
The ache that has taken hold of C-53’s body is liquid darkness. It has integrated itself into his bloodstream and rots his skin as it moves through his newly acquired veins. He listens to the ache as it kills him slowly before stopping at his throat and turning solid.
“Oh,” he says, shirking the dramatics.
