Xavier shuffles closer, eyes drooping as he drags his finger up Kai’s chest. Kai feels his heart rate pick up as Xavier keeps smiling at him, hooking his slim fingers into the shirt collar of the slightly taller man's shirt. “You come to chaperone me, handsome?” Xavier’s voice sounds a little scratchy, hoarse from yelling over the music maybe. Kai feels his brain blank out for a moment before he laughs a bit, letting his free hand drag up Xavier’s forearm and settle around his wrist.
“Nah, I’m not responsible enough for that.”
Xavier hums and puts more of his body weight against the wall, his blue eyes fluttering rapidly as if he’s fighting to keep them open. Kai didn’t smell a lick of booze on the man's breath, so unless he had taken an edible or hasn’t slept in a couple of days, something was wrong.
