Colin pulls a thread loose from the hem of his shirt and lets it flutter to the floor. “Are you guys just fucking, or is it, like, a real thing?”
Brendan shrugs, strums a strange discordant chord. “It’s Anthony.” It sounds like a cop-out, a non-answer entirely, really, but it’s all he has to say. It’s Anthony and it’s me and it’s me and Anthony. He adjusts his fingers on the frets to resolve the chord and plays it a couple times, ear turned to the strings. “We’re just doing what makes sense.”

And Anthony noticed. “You like that thought?” He moved in closer, fingers dancing over Geoff now, over his waist. “Me all dazed and pliant and stupid?” He nuzzled into the crook of Geoff’s neck, breathing his words just against Geoff's skin. “All hopped up after crashing the van? Astounded, amazed, thankful just to be alive?”
He pushed at Geoff’s hips now, directing him to turn, to face him; to look at him instead of the gored van. Geoff somehow tore his eyes from it, following the command wordlessly. Barely thinking, barely breathing.

There was much he’d expected from the show, but this? His eyes grew wide, mouth almost falling open as the singer reached the front of the stage: a sparkly black dress, barely covering up half of his upper thighs, wrapped tightly around his body, a feathered red boa falling messily around his shoulders, matching the color of his Kurt inspired wide sunglasses. The heels he wore clanked loudly on the stage, and his eyes couldn’t help but follow the line of the pink high stockings that clashed completely with the rest of his fit.
