Summary
Shep gets worried after he hasn't seen the Batchers for nearly an entire day, and goes to investigate. He unintentionally intrudes upon a memorial service and learns of yet another loss the clone soldiers suffered during the days of the War.
Shep tried to keep his features schooled, but inside he was getting even more confused by the moment. "Ninety-Nine?" he repeated, wondering if he had heard the name correctly.
"Yeah. He was the first defective the longnecks allowed to decant, so the other cadets just called him by his number." Hunter watched the whiskey glimmer through the sunlit glass. "You know, he always made sure every other clone had a name, but in the end, he never gave himself one."

Summary
Ninety-Nine has seen hundreds of brothers become jaded over the years, hardened by their training and the harsh life they've been bred for.
He refuses to let that happen to his little batch of four. But the solution might be easier -- and squishier, and more tooka-shaped -- than he thinks.
Or, how Wrecker got Lula and why he will never let her go.
Wrecker was standing in the middle of the storage room, still hesitating halfway between Ninety-Nine and the door that wasn’t quite closed. There was an hour or so left before curfew, and the bright lights that were recessed into the ceiling above clearly illuminated the distress on the cadet’s face. His big brown eyes were red from crying and his arms were folded tightly in front of him, his hands clenched into fists as his shoulders trembled.
Now Ninety-Nine was more than worried. Fear shot through his veins and his heart stuttered in his chest, a thousand scenarios running through his mind as he scrambled to find a reason for his little brother’s tears. Unfortunately, there were far too many possibilities on Kamino.
“Oh, Wreck’ika,” he said softly. “What’s wrong?”

“Ad, what’s wrong?”
“Hunter’s gone,” Fives replies.
“What are you trying to insinuate, Tarkin?” 99 asks.
“I am insinuating nothing,” Tarkin responds, as level headed as always.
“Well, I’m afraid Crosshair isn’t here,” 99 retorts. “Neither is Hunter.”
99 is awoken in the middle fo the night to find his son, Hunter, missing from his room. His boyfriend, Crosshair, is missing from his own house as well.

Summary
“ But he wasn’t one to put on more burdens on others—especially his family—no, no. They were already mourning boys of their own, it’d only been two months since Waxer’s and Hardcase’s funeral. Give them more time before putting even more daunting news atop.
Ninety-nine sighed a shaky breath, closing his eyes to fight off that pesky warm feeling in them. He’s lost both of his ade to a war he let them go to. His ade, dead, before him. No parent should have to bury their child. Especially not like this. “

In short; Two times Ninety-nine has to grieve his sons, and one time he gets to reunite with one.

Summary
99 can admit to himself, for as much as he'd been denied the role of soldier, he'd always had the role of older brother. In spite of that, when the Kaminoans piece together the usefulness of having the older clones look out for and help socialize the younger ones, he'd been the one Alpha clone overlooked. And he'll never begrudge his Alpha batch brothers...but he wishes. He yearns.
And then, of course, he'd been given his own special line of clones. He just hadn't known what that had meant for all of them.

Clan 99 w/ Parent Reader
What started as an obligation became your life. 'Clone Caretaker' was hardly the correct term for you; it couldn't describe how much you meant to the clones. Nor was there a term to describe how much they mean to you. While you adored what you became, your faith was shaken after the loss of your partner. You were prepared to leave Kamino when Nala Se pulled you aside, presenting 4 young altered clones intended to become an elite squad. With him in mind, you swore to protect them. They were your Aliit now, and you were their Buir.

*Clone Wars announcer voice*
War is spreading faster than the Republic can keep up with. With the Jedi spread thin across the galaxy the need for more Clone Troopers is necessary to turn the tide of this war. Soldiers are being produced as fast as possible, but what the Republic really needs is a different kind of soldier, a super soldier. Rumor has it the Kaminoians have created just that. Experimental unit Clone Force 99, consists of four clones with desirable mutations. These four enhanced soldiers might just be enough to bring about more Republic victories. Is this squad of young clones really ready to face battle? Or are they still too busy fighting each other?

Summary
After so many years, Ninety-nine had no affection left for Jango. Such a thing stung, naturally, as some part of Ninety-nine’s very being seemed hardwired to see the best in everyone, family especially. He’d even defended Jango to Echo and Fives a few times when they were pre-teens, reminding them that their father had a difficult childhood, that he was struggling with a lot.
It was the providence of the quadruplets that started to erode his excuses. Firstly, that Jango had never, not once, cared to mention the agreement he’d made with Nala Se about fathering her children--Ninety-nine had been as shocked as anything when the four boys first arrived on his doorstep, looking for shelter. Jango himself didn’t even consider it fathering, the first time Ninety-nine got him on the phone about it, a week after the four young boys's custody had gotten signed over to him—he’d scoffed and corrected him that he was a sperm donor, nothing more.
Ninety-nine reflects on Jango, fatherhood, and his sons.
