This was Ariadne's first job since working on Fischer over a year ago. She had purchased her compounds in advance (had in fact laughed when Eames offered to bring something from Yusuf) and so they had no need for a chemist. It was just the three of them: Ariadne, Eames as extractor with Arthur as point. All the genius of the inception job without the psychological issues, deception and limbo risk. Eames was actually looking forward to it.

And you know, there's something really liberating about putting your thoughts down and sending them out and not being able to take them back. I think you're probably reading this and thinking that I'm significantly weirder deep down inside than you'd thought, and that's all right because it's the truth. But maybe you don't care and you've already thrown this away and you'll toss any other ones I send out with the junk mail, unopened. And that'd be okay too. It's not the reading that counts; it’s the writing.
There are two boxes full of letters in Eames's desk drawer. The ones he receives from Arthur, and the ones he wishes he could send in reply.

When Eames calls Arthur in at the last minute to help him with a simple Extraction job, he does so with the knowledge that Arthur is, and always has been, the best. But the Arthur Eames knows doesn't doubt himself or fall asleep at tables and he'd certainly never, under any circumstances, wear a crumpled suit. The Arthur Eames knows has never been this vulnerably human, and it’s... well it’s all very endearing really, even if Arthur doesn’t quite agree.

What starts off as fun and games soon morphs into a terrifying race against time as the team hurry to complete each level in their quest to save their princess and fight the monstrous creature keeping her captive at the end!
