Summary
“Danny,” CJ prodded, just needing him to get to the damn point. It was late, she was exhausted, and she wanted nothing more than to go home and collapse face first into her very appealing bed.
“Right, okay.” Danny wrung his hands, glancing around her office with far too nervous a look for him. She resisted the urge to brace herself against her desk. Why was Danny so nervous about whatever it was he had to tell her? “I know about Sam and Josh. I have for a while, but for once, I think that is their business and not the public’s, so I haven’t and won’t report anything about them. But someone else knows now. I don’t know who, but someone, somewhere, has pictures of them and is just waiting to use them at the right moment. And if I know, and someone else knows, it’s only a matter of time before everyone knows. So I wanted to make sure you were prepared for when it does, because they deserve better than that.”
-----
Sam and Josh come out to the senior staff in less than ideal circumstances, but they're family and they're there for each other.
Written for the twwpride month event on Tumblr, for Day 5's prompt Found Family (though also fits for Day 3's Coming Out)

Summary
“I thought what I’d do-” CJ cuts herself off, shaking her head. “I thought we could sleep together. To get it out of our systems. The sexual tension. We could sleep together and then we could be past it. Both of us.”

OR: CJ shows up at Danny's place in the middle of the night with a new proposition as to how they can get past it. -

Summary
C.J. looks to Danny, who’s pointing to the mirror positioned on the ceiling above the bed.
She gasps and covers her mouth, shocked and amused.
Danny clears his throat, rubbing the back of his neck. “I swear… the photos online made it look… less like a 1970s porno set.”
A heart-shaped tub. A mirrored ceiling. A very pregnant C.J. Cregg and a very smitten Danny Concannon. Their baby moon in the Poconos doesn’t exactly scream “romance,” but once the laughter settles, things heat up fast. Turns out, the angles of inquiry here are less about journalism—and more about every breathtaking way they can see each other.

What if, after Shareef and Zoey's kidnapping, Danny didn't just disappear? What if, for once, they actually talked about what was between them? Set around 5x02. So far, I've only written the first few chapters, but I can already promise you a happy ending.

Summary
Barbara "Bobbi" King is twenty-three, Irish, and a former trauma surgeon turned field negotiator for Doctors Without Borders. A prodigy in medicine and a master of saying very little about herself, she arrives in D.C. to support discussions on medical aid and conflict zones—and immediately catches the attention of the West Wing senior staff.
Her short dresses, quiet confidence, and razor-sharp intellect confuse and intrigue Toby, Josh, and Sam in equal measure. She doesn’t speak unless necessary. She doesn't brag. She remembers everything. And she never, ever talks about Rwanda.
What begins as quiet observation and professional tension spirals into late nights, shared drinks, snapped arguments, unexpected attraction—and the slow, complicated process of earning respect in the world’s most powerful office.
Behind her sharp tongue and tired eyes, Bobbi is working to change the world—with facts, precision, and a mountain of classified folders spread across a conference table at 3 a.m.
This is a story about power, perception, late-night strategy meetings, poorly timed kisses, and one woman who never expected to stay—but might just belong more than anyone realizes.

Maybe he’d always been there. And perhaps he hadn’t really been there at all — until tonight. CJ didn’t know how to explain it, but she was always amazed by how a chance conversation could turn an acquaintance into someone you had a newfound appreciation for.
“Who’s to say you’re not a loser anymore?” She retorted, making him laugh brightly. A sound, she was surprised to think, she really liked.

Summary
Whatever retort she had thought up for the first part died on her lips when she heard the second part. Her heart sank, and she chided herself. The second she had believed this day to be ordinary had been her first mistake: once you perceived anything as ordinary, you should know the universe would make it so it was anything but.
