Louis was able to ignore her, eventually. Lestat kissing her cheek, letting her do the mic check. On her own with the other groupies, flashing for Mardi Gras beads, wearing cowboy boots in 101 degree weather. He had stopped pretending he could avoid Lestat entirely, and that meant coming to terms with any number of irritating personalities - groupies, roadies, mothers-in-law, self-important vampires who thought they could kill one or both of them.

Summary
When Zenobia admits to celebrating the death of her Maker, Gregory is taken back and overwhelmed by his conflicting feelings in relation to Akasha. Unable to find rest with his little coven, he takes to speaking with Marius, whom he feels shares some similar emotions in relation to the original Queen of the Damned.
Along the way, he makes peace with the loss of Sevraine, and tries to remind vampires who were affected, directly and indirectly, by her whims, of how lucky they are that Akasha is no more.
A small character study for both Gregory and Marius!
