Summary
The grotto is enchanting.
Every time Samuel’s eyes move around while walking through it, he swears they catch on a new wonder. Each item seems to gleam with promise. Gears click, a slight buzz coming off others, both melding with the sound of Samuel's steps—it all creates a melody of its own, weaving its way through the grotto. Some he can decipher what the purpose may be, but there are plenty where he has absolutely no clue. How much of that is because of how much time has passed, and how much is because science has only ever been something he's listened to, never pursued on his own? He's unsure.
Still, there is a strange, undeniable beauty to them. They look carefully constructed—however they have been built, there is no doubt in Samuel's mind that it took time, love, and precision to make them whatever they are.
It can't be anything but.
He won't deny that they thrill him—masterpieces, all.
OR
Well, we all know Dakkar caught up on Margaret’s adventures, we all know exactly who told them to him--so what did that look like? I have ideas.

Kal can hear cannon-fire in the distance, echoing and loud, only making his smile grow wider. Dakkar’s hands spark with Radiance, their bones faintly aglow, as he clearly struggles to call on any magic at all. His determination really is impressive, Kal will admit. But it’s to no avail. Author Notes - After listening to the searcher in the Shadows and crying my eyes out and realizing I had no idea when the next part of the story will come out or if a certain character would be making a comeback. I decided to create a semi prequel of sorts. I have many theories about how he could potentially return. However, I came up with a rather far fetched idea, trying my best to follow rules we already know about these characters. Any errors or discrepancy to the original work are entirely my own.
Summary - The Purple button is pressed. Leading to the heartbreaking death of one of our beloved characters. However what if that wasn't the end. Now that character finds themselves trapped on the blazing world where they have no way to get back home except to wait it out knowing the collapse of this world is inevitable.
