Summary
Ed’s face contorts into a slight pout, though his flush only deepens. “You’d fuck me even with a bell on?”
Stede blinks, steeling his resolve. “If you’d have me.”

"I mean, there’s a lot of stuff we should say, and that we probably need to say. But just for now, just for tonight, maybe we could...skip all that? And maybe you could just - kiss me.”

Stede goes to the crew to ask if Ed can come back to the Revenge, and they're not too keen on it. Also Ed can't make his mind shut up. Nothing heavy, just a little follow up of what happens between episodes 4 and 5 of OFMD season 2 bc i cannot get enough of them :) basically me going "what if i put them in situations"

Summary
In reality, it weighs less than a marble in the palm of his hand. It’s silly, really –just a little cut of rock hardly bigger than a fingernail. Stede might have expected it to glow, or float, the way people talk, but why it might inspire half the moneyed world from Barbados to Beirut to titter over teatime about the (now former) owners wearing it half an ocean away, Stede can’t quite be sure at first. But there was a moment after he plunged from the darkened alley, jewel in hand, when it had caught a nearby lamp just-so and he had seen right through to his palm, refracted in pink-red depths, and for a breathless moment it seemed reasonable that half a fortune might be tossed away for a chance to wear it.
All in all, stealing back to harbour through a sleeping port feels like nothing more than when he’d sneak back upstairs to bed when he was a child, running from imagined shadow-creatures and his father’s steady breathing.
or: how to trust your pirate boyfriend when he's more of a pirate than you nowadays.

Summary
The crew made it very clear that if Ed was going to stay on the Revenge, he would be locked in a secure room overnight, every night. It was Stede who had volunteered the captain’s cabin, much to the crew’s concern. Ed’s as well, from the sidelong stare he was giving Stede.
“Captain, it is not any of my business what you do in your cabin, but if you are both locked in together Blackbeard may kill you in your sleep, you understand?” Roach asked, speaking slowly as if Stede was an idiot who hadn’t considered that. -

Summary
Stede is a complete and utter bed hog.
Ed already guessed this, to be fair—the man sprawls across his whole life the same way, totally unaware of how much space he takes up, of where he shouldn’t fit—but before everything, it had been a source of idle fantasy for Ed.
But that was before. Now Ed just wants a decent fucking night’s sleep, and he can’t do that with half his ass off the bed. Trying to move Stede does nothing, though, because even when Ed manages to push him against the wall Stede just sprawls back out a minute later, worse than before. So after an infuriating half hour of push and pull, Ed goes for plan B.
(Or: Ed just wants to get away from Stede right now, but thanks to some meddling from Anne and Mary, he's sharing a bed with him instead. Maybe it's finally time to take that advice about talking it through.)
