Summary
When they get back to the ship, Stede asks Ed to wait in the dinghy and climbs up the ladder to ask the crew if Ed can stay. Ed waits. He hadn’t really expected to get this far anyways. He certainly hadn’t expected Stede to follow him off the ship, or invite him back, or talk to the crew on his behalf. In between the gentle slap of the waves against the hull of the ship, he can hear that conversation happening above him, a quiet muttering that sits just on the edge of his hearing.
He should probably care about what they’re saying, should probably hoist himself up the ladder a bit to suss out who’s in favor and who’s against, determine what kind of situation he’s facing by climbing right back on board with the crew that had just mutinied against him, calculate his odds of surviving through the night. He should probably do all of that.
It sounds exhausting.
Ed gets back on the Revenge and everything that's happened in the last few days catches up to him. Stede does his best to help him through it.

Summary
“Do you think… it might be alright if I told you what happened the night I left? And afterwards? Up to now?” He looked over at Ed, who seemed to have found something very interesting to stare at in the bottom of his own cup.
Ed rolled Stede’s question around in his mind, pondering over what Stede could possibly have to say about the matter that would quell the gnawing sense of anxiety he had felt ever since he had opened his eyes to find the only person that could have dragged him out of purgatory screaming his name right in front of his face.

Summary
Weddings suck to go to when you're still dealing with the most intense heartbreak of your life. Ed's only going so Anne doesn't kill him (because he has no doubt she actually would). He's trying desperately not to think about Stede and the way he up and disappeared while being surrounded by happiness and celebrations of love, and it's going as well as it possibly can up until Stede himself shows up.
Stede, with his stupid fancy suit and his stupid cute face, quietly asking Ed to hear him out. If nothing else, maybe Ed can get some closure from this whole debacle and move on with his life. He's definitely not somewhat relieved to see the man again, even after everything. Nope. Not him.

Summary
Something twists inside Ed’s chest, and she has nobody to blame for this but herself because she fucking asked. Stede’s been coming here on her own. She isn’t some fresh-faced ingenue who’s gotten herself in over her head. She can take care of herself. Which is great. Of course she can. Ed doesn’t want — doesn’t need —
Stede’s said something and Ed’s missed it, caught up as she is in her own head. “So, you know, if you want to play …” she continues, and this time her wriggle is deliberately seductive. “I’m right here.”
Stede decides to try out free use on the night Ed happens to walk back into her life.

Piece by piece, Ed returns to himself, leaving Blackbeard and the Kraken behind. But when he's confronted by his devolved relationships with the crew and with Stede, as well as the state that he's let himself fall into, he can't help but feel ashamed. What better to help him get back on his feet than Stede Bonnet's tender, loving care.

Summary
Stede drew a sharp breath. Whiplash; no, he couldn’t spiral. It was not the time to spiral. Ed needed him. Ed was vulnerable, and alone, and hurt, and needed him. He needed a hand to hold. He needed a friend. He needed love. All of which Stede was more than willing to offer.
He was going to apologize for everything he had wrought. He was going to try and slowly unspool all the consequences from his actions. He was going to fight to show his devotion, his care, his affection again.
But that all was down the road; in the meantime, he was going to address what lay before him. He was going to focus on the physical before the emotional, the visible before the invisible.
After finally reuniting with Ed, Stede sits with all the subsequent emotions, and begins the first little steps towards healing, towards mending their love.

“Do you want to tell me what’s wrong?” Stede asked, continuing to stroke Ed’s hair. Ed sniffed.
“I’m not a good person, Stede.” He said quietly. Stede’s hand paused in his hair slightly. They’d had this conversation before.
Except this time it was true.
OR
Ed apologises to the crew. They slowly start to fix things.

Summary
When Mrs. Stede Bonnet had deserted her husband for the second time, she had known that the way would be difficult. In this flight, she had left her jewels and gowns behind in order to start afresh, taking only a purse with enough money to allow her to embark on a new life in very modest circumstances: she took rented lodgings above a shop for gloves and ribbons in a small country village, attempted to manage with no servants, and set out a little notice offering her services as a dressmaker and milliner.
A retelling of the 2x04 dinner party in a genderbent Regency AU.

'Ed listens, momentarily forgetting all that happened between them, instead, falling into the comforting old familiar of listening to Stede ramble on about topics that no one should be knowledgeable about, less so passionate. For a moment, all is how it was months ago; two complicated people finding simplicity in each other.'

Summary
Ed was still staring at the bell as though he didn’t know what to make of it. “A fucking cat collar?” he asked. “Because I’m so ‘catlike’?”
“Well, it’s not actually a cat collar. I mean, this would be far too big for the average cat, and so would the bell.” Stede frowned. “In fact, I’m not sure who this was actually made for.”
“Yeah, might be best not to think about that.”
“No. No, maybe not.”
Ed reached out and tapped the bell with the tip of his fingernail, and it chimed again. He grimaced. “That’s going to be annoying,” he said.

Stede has successfully convinced the crew to take Ed back, now he just has to break the news to Ed about those conditions he's going to need to agree to. -
