She was transported through time, the time of Arlathan.
So when Ellana encounters Fen'Harel, the god of betrayal and rebellion, she can't get passed the fact that he looks and sounds exactly like Solas. As he claims that the magic in her hand is his and she is thrown into the thick of ancient Elven politics, Ellana can't help but wonder if she will ever be able to get back to her time, back to close the breach; she also wonders if Fen'Harel knows more than he is letting on, for his questions lead to questions of her own.
