Only for him to realize that the wrong alternative universe he went in, is not what he expected. The sixteen year old Lewis is never renamed as ‘Cornelius Robinson’ nor was he adopted by the Robinson couple nor did he graduate school at age fourteen nor was he the rare, smart and one of a kind inventor and person nor was he the one who made the world a better place.

But when he did, they turned out to be different Robinsons from the ones he had spent a small amount of time with. This should have made perfect sense, seeing as there was a thirty year difference between the then and the now. And yet it was still something he had to wrap his brain around.
