Summary
Shortly after the Toa Mata are transformed into the Toa Nuva, the island of Mata Nui is under attack by the Bohrok-Kal, who seek to release the Bahrag, their queens, from their imprisonment. After the theft of the Nuva Symbols, the Toa find their elemental powers stripped from them. Now searching the island for the Bohrok-Kal, the Toa come across six strange fully organic beings, one in each Wahi, who are very clearly not of this world.

After a seemingly routine battle, Lewa starts to become more distant from his Toa self. Once the Toa figure out why, they fall into more trouble than they bargained for...
Takes place after the Skull Raider battle, before the Toas' Uniter upgrade. Obligatory Tahu and Kopaka mutually pining for Gali, with a hint of Lewa/Onua if you squint. A bit too much fun with character interactions (the Toa are just children I swear /j).

Vakama has long since gotten use to not trusting others other than the members of her Province. it isn't that she doesn't wish to trust others, but more along the lines of having been burned time and time again right from the moment she was born. By the time she became a citizen of Metru Nui, it had become a method of survival. From the moment she and her teammates settle with the Matoran on the Island that Onewa named Mata Nui in honor of the Great Spirit, she became resigned to not trusting others. She had tried to trust her teammates, had been willing to open herself up to them, but it wasn't until near the end of their Guardianship that they had stopped throwing those attempts back into her face and made to reach back, at which point she had had enough of having her attempts at trust burned. When the darkest secrets of her past cause the much lighter ones to surface, what will the reactions of the other Elders be? The Guardians? The Ta-Matoran have long been secretive in order to protect themselves, but will the other Provinces understand the reason why? Or will Vakama be burned again, alongside the rest of the Ta-Matoran?
