Summary
Miles has a goddamn problem, and no one seems to care.
He tells Ganke that he grew three whole inches in the past two weeks, and his friend only congratulates him on finally hitting a growth spurt before Miles loses him to his coding homework again. He has to try three more times to get Ganke’s attention long enough for Miles to roll his eyes at him. (Sure, growing is nice, but three inches in half a month can’t possibly be normal, right?)
He tells Sam that he’s been sticking to things accidentally, and Sam just snickers at him. “You better get ready for the origin story, Morales,” he replies. (Not helpful.)
Miles doesn’t even bother with America and Kate, because for the past few days, they’ve been completely absorbed with the newest mystery plaguing Midtown Tech.

He wants so badly to scream. He wants so badly to be pained, to be sad, to cry, but instead all he sees is red. All he breathes is red hot anger at a titan who he used to be sure couldn’t even exist at all.
He remembers how he ran to Peter’s apartment after that first New York attack, all those years ago. He remembers the look in Peter’s eyes that meant their perception of reality had changed forever.
The urge to, somehow, fly into space, to whatever planet Thanos had destroyed, and to make him pay for what he’s done courses throughout his body. He wants to see blood. He wants to see Peter.

He stops short halfway through the crosswalk, his bags falling on the street. There are cars honking at him and people yelling at him but all he can do is stand there, dumbfounded.
“You’re dead,” he says.
It’s not what Peter imagined would be the first words he heard from Ned again. He didn’t plan on any of this if he’s being honest, the date or the time or the dying. And coming back to life as if nothing ever happened. After he imagines Ned saw him on the news, or someone called him, or he filed a missing person report with May that the police gave up on. After, he presumes, they all moved on.
