She hoped the others were doing alright. The three of them were like a tower of blocks: remove one and it isn’t half as tall. Nevertheless, she had faith in her companions. They were probably halfway through the building, or at least planning a rescue mission at this point. If their mental connection got better, she could tell them the defenses she scoped out. If she escaped, she could find wherever they ran off to and they could explode the building and get her some food that wasn’t a bland sandwich. Everyone wins! With that final thought, Paula set off.

“I swear if someone laughs at me for saying yes instead of no one more time, I’m either going to punch them or break down crying.” Ness stomps forwards, brows furrowed and eyes strained. His hand is clutching the bat so tightly he’s white knuckled, hat askew and bag damaged.
“Knowing the Moonsiders? They’d take that as a compliment.” Jeff trails behind him, bowtie wrapped around his arm acting as a makeshift bandage.

Summary
For the first time in years, Jeff Andonuts wonders if he is fitting in well with his new peers. Don’t get him wrong, they’re wonderful people. Ness has a sort of infectious determination that makes you feel invincible and Paula’s raw power can make even the most difficult of enemies falter. They’ve taken his addition to the team in stride, finding ways to incorporate his inventions into plans and making an active effort to include him in conversations. It’s hard not to feel like part of a larger unit when the only thing between you and the horrifying reality of your new life are the jokes you crack with your friends, giving otherworldly creatures silly names and staying up late into the night in hotel rooms talking about your life. Certainly, there are worse people to be saving the world with.
It’s the fact that he’s never really had to move outside of his previous friend circle that causes him strife.

Summary
Much to the surprise of Ness and his friends, Jeff has completed what he calls his greatest invention ever, known as the Good Times Machine. Despite the funky name, it is your typical time machine that one would see in science fiction. After convincing Ness, Paula, and Poo of the safety of the machine (something all three don't believe in but play along anyway so they don't hurt Jeff's feelings), the four hop onboard and Jeff sets the machine to transport them many years into the future. They successfully make it, but there's just one small problem. Quite literally too... as the time machine and everyone onboard has shrunken in size! To make matters worse, the time machine gets crushed by another group of heroes (led by the young boy Lucas), who later discover the tiny group and offer to care for them; only for snotty Kumatora to take them back to Osohe Castle as her little slaves... Completed October 5, 2011.
