Summary
Jiang Yanli had never really questioned her role in her family. It had always something she had accepted. She had always been the eldest daughter, the peacemaker.
She spent years of her life desperately trying to keep her family together, blind to what she sacrificed along the way. After her brothers had both moved out, she had hoped that things would finally settle down, but instead it seemed as though the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying deteriorated more and more with each passing year. Finally, she overheard an argument between the two of them and reached her breaking point. There were certain things that shouldn't be brushed aside as another silly misunderstanding after all.

Slowly, the boy looked up, his gaze calm but distant. “I prefer using the name of the sect that raised me. ” His hands still for a moment. “It feels more.. suitable.”
Lan Xichen glanced at Lan Wangji, both silent as the room held its breath.
‘Not Wei Wuxian’ straightened Jiang Cheng’s cuff one last time before meeting their eyes with a gentle smile. “I am Jiang Ying. Courtesy name, Wuxian.”
