She’d had the same pink hair and the eyes-
Her breath froze in her throat. “It wasn’t her! Just some… wannabe street trash.”
Of course not… we know what you do to street trash like us, don’t we, Claggor?
“Shut up! You’re not real!” she screamed. “You’re dead, you’re gone!” Mylo’s metal eyes stared her down, dull and vacant and malicious, and the mobile jangled above her head. She curled up into a ball, and picked up the next grenade, pulling the pin out with her teeth.
She’s gone. Because you failed her. Because you were weak.
“I’m not weak!” she yelled, flopping onto her back as the explosion rattled the metal around her. Smoke billowed up through the air.
You’re a jinx!
“I’m not! I’m not I’m not I’m not! You’ll see,” she snarled, “you’ll all see!”
(Basically, Jinx has a lot of trauma and I wanted to explore that.)
