It's been a little over a month since the Ruined King was imprisoned, and Sarah Fortune is still grappling for control of Bilgewater. Between Illaoi pressuring her to take her god's test, Gangplank's crew growing in power and influence every day, and the population of Bilgewater still unsure of who to follow, Sarah's starting to question her title as Miss Fortune.
Jinx finally managed to run away and break the cycle, but that leaves the question of what to do now? She's not sure where she'll end up but anywhere would be fine, so long as she doesn't have to start the cycle again. But there is that part of her that she dreads. That no matter what she does, she'll always be cursed. Always be a jinx.
When these two meet, Bilgewater won't know what's in store, and they can curse their luck together.

An alternate universe Arcane fic.
Powder and Ekko have been friends since they were six, they ran around the city streets of Zaun, glitterbombing enforcers, snagging spare parts for Powder's new inventions, scribbling on Vis face when she was asleep after a long day. It was paradise, until Vander died in a fire Powder had caused. Mylo and Claggor also got caught up in the explosion as Powder looked on in horror, Ekko had been there to get Powder out before she got caught up in the fire herself. Vi was just coming home when she heard what Powder had done. She branded her sister as a Jinx. Therefore, Powder branded herself as such. Choosing to go by 'Jinx'.
Cut to their college years, Ekko and Jinx are nearly inseparable. Having known each other since they were 12. People gushed over Ekko, being 'boy wonder' on campus. Jinx was usually the odd one out. She didn't have many friends and the ones she did have stuck around for Ekko.
It left her feeling like something was wrong with her, a broken record that would never play normally again. She hid her feelings, buried them in drugs and alchohol.
Will Ekko realize his feelings? Or willl it be too late...
