Haley's not being dramatic, but the worst thing that ever happened to her was Sam moving in next door. She could tell from the second she first saw him that he’d be a pain in her ass. That smug little people-pleasing face. Gelled-up hair. Scuffed-up shoes like some kind of wannabe skater boy. She’s always been a good judge of character, even back then, and time has only proven her right.
Sam & Haley have lived next door to each other since they were kids, and have never gotten along. But everything changes one summer when they're forced to spend 24 hours together thanks to one of Sam's classic pranks gone wrong

When a Technical Project Manager decides she's had enough working for Joja Corporation after they bought her startup, she packs it up and heads out to her Grandpa's Farm in Stardew Valley. It seems normal enough initially, but once she gets her feet under her and stops eating nothing but instant ramen for dinner, she starts noticing that things are actually kind of weird out there.

"I know, baby," Alex said, rubbing his thumb soothingly against Sam's jaw as he kissed him again. Sam had to hold back a moan as Alex dragged his teeth along his lower lip when he pulled away again. "I don't want to either," he said. "But…"
"I know," Sam cut him off with a sigh.

Summary
Sam feels like everything seems to be thrown in his lap, juggling a job, his friends, caring for his brother, and the impending doom of his dad coming home. His only reprieve being the guy in his phone. Over a year ago, an internet argument about Solarian Chronicles led him into the most complicated and admittedly parasocial relationship of his life. Present day, still without any personal knowledge of his friend, he finds himself craving their daily banter and getting giddy at the idea of him. If only he could know him, like really know him.
Sebastian's online presence was his entire career, he spent at least ten hours a day at his PC managing the socials for brands from the city. Getting paid pretty decently, too. Being chronically online had its upsides. An unexpected upside was the idiot in his DMs. It started as a fun side hobby, arguing over his favorite roleplay game with any moron that dared to disagree with him on his personal account. This one was just...a little too fun to argue with. He was different. Entertaining. Maybe too entertaining.

“Seb, you’ve smoked 3 blunts now. That’s enough,” Sam commented without even looking back at him from his tv.
Sebastian went to argue as he sat up but immediately shut his mouth when everything went blurry and the room started spinning. Fuck, Sam was right. He was always right. He lied back down and put a hand over his forehead to hopefully help with the dizziness (it didn’t).
He curled up into himself. He wished he wasn’t such a fucking disaster. He really did need to stop smoking but the weed was right there… it was hard to resist, especially after as nasty of an argument as he had with his parents. He was so sick of them. He can’t wait till he moves out of this stupid place.

Over the past decade of his friendship with Sam, Sebastian discovered a confusing phenomenon. Most of the time he saw Sam as his lifelong best friend; a person he'd known since before he could remember, nothing more. But every now and again something would happen - the light would hit Sam's face just right, or he'd fall over laughing at one of his own jokes, or bite his lip in concentration while zeroing in on a video game. Something would occur, something small and mundane, but that something would have a powerful effect. It would force Sebastian to wonder what it would be like to kiss him.
The phenomenon wasn't a crush. It was an unwanted parasite, growing stronger and hungrier with time.
And there it was, rearing its ugly head again, as Sam lost himself in the music.
