Summary
Jon Connington's POV on Robert's Rebellion, from the Red Keep to his exile in Essos. How he saw his silver prince grow apart from him, how he fought and eventually failed him... to be reborn as a sellsword and serve his prince again.
"The swift blow of his sword wasn't enough to disarm his opponent. The prince's locks brushed his forearm as he avoided Jon's long sword; steel made a silvery sound, he felt something pricking his chest, despite the jerkin he wore and it was over. Victory brought a half-smile on Rhaegar's lips.
"Did I hurt you, my friend?" the prince asked, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. Jon shook his head but Rhaegar insisted. "I can see blood."
Docilely, Jon undid his jerkin and they both noticed a small gash on the left side of his chest, two inches above his nipple. How ironic. As if he aimed at my heart."Series

Summary
King Rhaegar ushers in a new era of Targaryen rule just as winter comes. As he attempts to regain lost trust between the crown and his kingdoms, intrigue and scandal make themselves known that threaten the very precarious balance he seeks to build in his realm.
Lyanna Stark, sixteen, is two years a wife, one year a mother, and a newly made queen. She is still exploring the waters of married life while she struggles with the demands of queenship; as she wades the gap between child and woman, the young queen must learn to adapt, and quickly, lest the ambitions of others threaten to topple her before she has even begun.
Winter is coming and the worst of plots begin to come to a boil; if the couple hope to survive, they must brace themselves, for better or for worse.

Summary
The death of Rickard Stark in the wake of his eldest son's disappearance is regarded by all the realm as a tragedy. Pity is on the lips of everyone for those that are no longer of this world. Yet no one thinks to ask after those who remain.
Forced by her father's death into facing more than one unpleasant truth, Lyanna finds that sometimes staring into the darkness shall only lead to it staring back. At the same time, the newly minted Lord Eddard Stark struggles to keep the world together even as it slips between his fingers.
AU! Recent tragedies culminating in the shaming of House Stark by the Crown lead to Rickard Stark's death. The wolves of Winterfell are left without guidance in a winter far darker than any they have known.
Or, Rhaegar Targaryen is more than willing, when push comes to shove, to turn the realm upside down in the pursuit of greatness.

Summary
After meeting somewhere in between, the pair of widows decide on an advantageous marriage of equals. With weddings comes great drama-- this time in the form of resistant children, a jealous competitor, and memories thought to be buried deep.
Yet the tribulations of a wedding may pale in comparison to that of marriage itself. Lyanna had gained Rhaegar's word that she may leave whenever she desired; becoming queen, mother, and wife all at once may prove to be too difficult a challenge for a woman whose desires had never been stationary. While Lyanna has plenty to lose, Rhaegar has much to gain-- and a prophecy's fulfillment is the greatest gain of all.
Or: Lyanna and Rhaegar give each other second chances, and it much easier said than done.

War creeps beneath their doorstep.
A tale of political intrigue, deceptions, betrayal, slow romance, love, loss, heartbreak, tragedy.

Summary
“Told you it’d work out,” Robb says, smiling, and he looks so carefree right now, the way he might have looked in a life where he wasn’t taken from his family whichever it is and wherever it was, and Theon kind of wants to cry but doesn’t, if anything because he’d have never imagined that they could get away at all, or at least not so easily, and he had wondered at times how their lives might have been if they hadn't been -
If they hadn't been.
“Fuck me, it did. I just - thank you.”
“For what?”
“I don’t know if I’d have held on this long without -”
“Do you think I would have if you hadn’t been there? Gods, don’t even go there. I’m not - I hate that this has been my life, but meeting you has been about the one good thing that’s ever happened to me, so don’t you dare thanking me, all right?”

Summary
Brienne is a truly excellent rugby coach. Really, she's that great. Just that King's Landing, the team who have just employed her, haven't quite got around to telling their current coach that he is sacked. When that current coach is a) drunk and b) Jaime Lannister, only the best player of his generation and Brienne's teenage pin-up, things get awkward. Not quite as awkward when she keeps being stared at by Tormund, the massively bearded red-haired fireman who happens to play for King's Landing. Especially when he makes her Feel Things. But then so does Jaime, even if he is a dickhead.
Throw in an entire rugby team of fourteen good men plus Ramsay Bolton - all with issues of their own - a sponsor with a fetish for sailors, Tyrion owning a pub and being dodgy, and the Ever Lurking Terror of Varys, and it's all a bit, as Davos always says, effing mad, really.

Summary
It is a story from a song--a fair maid stolen in the dead of night, and her brothers and her betrothed riding to her rescue. They will tear a kingdom apart, pull a king from his throne, and crown another in his place, all in the name of the fair, stolen maid.
It is a tale that comforts men and reassures them. Even though the knight is too late to save his lady, he gains a kingdom and a queen even fairer than the maid he lost. But the truth is not so simple. A war is not one story; it is thousands speaking at once. We do not know what the maid thought, or the prince’s wife, herself a princess by birth. And other ladies too, whose parts in this tale are further obscured, as often happens when histories are written by men.
This is their story. This was their war.

Summary
Growing up a bastard girl in Winterfell had been hard but not all that bad, Arya had admitted until one day it all turned to shit. A run in with the King's family had gone badly, forced to flee the Country she fled to the only place she thought she could truly disappear. Bravos. Turns out a bastard of her status can't even disappear across the Narrow Sea. With Vary's and Illyrio Mopatis to blame she joins up with a band of strangely connected people who offer her a peachy reception. One man is angry beyond measure, a strange boy with blue hair who calls himself Griff seems indifferent but curious and the Septa looks at her like she is a ghost. Years pass, tempers settle and so do the band until they all discover something very unexpected about one of the members.
"We can't change what the God's determine, Arya." Aegon whispered into her hair with his arms anchored around her to keep from doing anything too drastic
"IT'S SICK." Arya shouted before falling silent for a long while, outburst like that were very few and far between now they were older
"There would never be anyone for me except you." Aegon supplied quietly, probably not helping the situation any but not really caring as her body went slack

As for Lyanna, all she knows is that life at court can only grow more and more entertaining by the day as secrets come to light from the deepest recesses of the realm. And the strange banker forever near the King further incites her curiosity.
Or, the Starks are for once the ones with the power and the cost may well be too much to bear.
