Alex Hanson has had many careers in the military as a US Army Infantryman, 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, 5th Special Forces Group, Intelligence Support Activity, 1st SFOD-D, was formerly involved in the CIA Ground Branch, was part of two illegal CIA assassination programs called Treadstone and Blackbriar, and used to be in the NSA's 3rd and 4th Echelon before joining the Krimson City Police Department as a patrol officer, SWAT commander, and is now a homicide detective with the rank of detective sergeant but nothing he had done could have prepared him for the horrors he would soon face.
One day, when responding to an emergency call with a few of his fellow detectives and getting knocked out by an unknown threat, he awakens in a terrifying, hellish world where monsters and other horrors roam in search of fresh victims.
