Summary
This work attempts to bridge several literary elements found in the Conan universe, from Hyborea and beyond, to include properties alluded to in Robert E. Howard's work of pulp, namely Kull of Atlantis and H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. There is full duplexity here with Marvel Comics as well, having Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor Smith as progenitors providing back fill for works that are augmented, or at least referenced by Howard himself.
This is a work of pulp, intended to be outlandish and at times even cringey. Nevertheless it is written in the penny dreadful spirit of a Howard crafted Hyborean story. As an exercise, the author attempts to navigate through enough headcanon properties to dip a scripting toe into the Hyborean world.

This is stunning. I don't know Man from Atlantis, so at first I wasn't sure whether or not to read this, but Local Hero is a beloved movie of my heart and has been for many years, so I opened the link and couldn't stop reading. The author did a gorgeous job integrating the two canons. I feel like I understood Elizabeth and Mark enough to know how they fit with the Local Hero world. This is just beautiful -- poignant and yearning and believable and real.
