It wasn't something he liked to talk about, but it was hard to ignore when Death itself was standing in front of him, looking way too amused for a cosmic entity.
“You, my dear Master of Death, have officially made the dumbest decision possible.” Death smirked, its skeletal fingers twirling a teacup. “Dying before finishing what you started? Tsk. Bad form.”
Harry groaned, rubbing his face. The last thing he remembered was dueling Voldemort for what was supposed to be the last time—only for someone (he had suspicions about Snape) to botch a spell, and suddenly, everything had gone very pear-shaped.
Now he was here, in what looked like a fancy Victorian sitting room, with Death being a sarcastic arse.
“What happens now?” Harry muttered, slumping into a chair. “I don’t suppose I just move on?”
Death gave him a look that screamed you should know better. “No, Potter. You’re going back.”
Harry blinked. “Back where?”
A slow, sharp-toothed grin. “Oh, you’ll love this.”

Posted here because FF.net is being a bit difficult at the moment, and I got the feeling that you all would like to read it as well! Harry Potter, aged seven, runs away from home due to his parents ignoring him in favor of his three years younger brother, Eric, who is called the Boy-Who-Lived.
One year after he runs, Harold runs into one of the four mistresses of Dracula, who had prophesized his sort-of return in the body of the 'boy of lightning,' the boy who would inherit his powers, memories, experiences, and all his properties.
The mistress takes Harry to Castle Dracula, where he becomes Harold Dracula, the new King of the Vampires and Prince of Darkness.
This story will also feature other vampires, both historical and made-up, including the Blood Countess Elizabeth Báthory.
