Sophia is a journalist that has been stuck in the researcher position for ‘The Riff’, one of the biggest pop culture columns in L.A. during the last seven years. She has tried every trick on the book to climb up the corporate ladder, and all of it has come with no luck.
With higher living expenses but the same salary, the rope is starting to tighten around her neck. That is when her best friend Megan plopped down on her couch and blinded her with her screen: DOG SITTER FULL-TIME NEEDED.
Sophia almost laughed out loud, until Megan explained that this wasn’t any regular dog sitting position, but dog sitting for a burnout pop star that had decided to move to the middle of nowhere at the beginning of the year after a nasty divorce with one of Hollywood’s top actors.
A lot of theories came from the divorce: cheating, mistreatment, substance abuse, insanity, all of them originating on her end, of course. Nobody really had the answer - not even TMZ with their dear ‘close sources’. Joshua Abrams had come out the other side as the golden boy he’s always been perceived as, but Daniela Avanzini? She just vanished from the public eye.

In some sense, it feels like Dani is defending her honour. Her gay, very gay, pathetic and bisexual—and did Megan mentioned gay?—honour. Like a true knight in shining armour. Maybe they weren’t so off with those dream charms after all.
Though, Megan thinks, maybe, Dani’s belief in her ability to keep ahold of herself is too forgiving and unwavering. Megan was so gay in that live—and all she can think about since that night is Manon, Manon, Manon. She hasn’t had that much fun in a while, and despite that live being everywhere—shared with the whole world, despite it’s deletion, lost media, right?—those inside jokes feel special regardless.
Or: 5 times M&M totally played gay chicken, and the 1 time they stopped fucking around.

world shattering, I knew I was getting into angst with hanahaki but if you’re seeing this, maybe don’t read this. Not unless you’re feeling so strong, the ending hit a little too close to home on recent events in my life and this shattered me a little. I feel the need to bookmark because of how incredible this is but I don’t know that I would recommend this one to the average person.
