007n7’s mouth stayed shut, and he looked at the ground. Taph wasn't sure if he even knew, how little he knew about him, that he had no idea about his past, but in truth he didn't need to know. He seemed alright, even if he was a little annoying sometimes, did it matter how many people hated him? What good is a reputation anyway, if it can never be repaired.
If 007n7 even knew half the lengths that people have gone to get rid of Taph, if he knew where his paranoia was sourced, he hoped he wouldn't care either.
OR;
Taph gets stuck doing chores with 007n7, and he learns that they have more in common than he thought-

It was getting a bit boring just sitting there with no chatter, especially for Shedletsky, even if the silence was a warm welcome to the two. 1x was in complete relaxation from the gentle sensation of his hair being done when Shedletsky suddenly spoke up, questioning. “Soo.. you stayed with the other killers.. on your own island, in your own cabins.. right?”

Chance is aware that he's an attention seeker. It's another reason why he loves thrills and large gambles, with so much on the line people are bound to notice. It doesn't mean he wants bad attention though—it never meant that. Maybe that's why he's here, he hasn't learned anything. He always starves, takes a hand that only wishes to hurt, then hides, then starves, and it goes over and over again. He hopes to try and fix that in these endless rounds if hell but nothing seems to work. He's bound to be nothing but a nuisance that wishes for attention that he doesn't deserve.
