Taph reached past them to adjust the mechanism’s frame. Their sleeve brushed against Builderman’s bare arm, leaving warmth in its wake. The gesture was practical, normal, but the closeness wasn't.
Then, without a word, Taph set the tool down and signed something simple, something that made Builderman blink and laugh softly.
