He grumbled, but begrudgingly tried his swing again. He could do it. He glanced back a few times, and Pause was just smirking at him. He had a feeling they weren’t going to get through all eighteen holes at this rate. He swung again, and this time Beef grabbed him and dragged him back onto the couch.
“I hate both of you,” he hissed, watching as his ball moved about ten feet. At least it stayed on the green. “I hope you die.”
Etho shuffled to the side as Beef stood up for his turn. “Honestly? I hope we all die.”
“What if Wii Golf is our purgatory?” Pause said, very frantically. “Oh god what if we’re never free? What if there’s infinite holes and we’re trapped here forever?!”
I am drowning. There is no sign of land. You are coming down with me, hand in unlovable hand. I hope you die. I hope we both die. (AKA Team Canada get high and struggle with Wii Golf.)

Summary
Police sirens wail somewhere nearby, quickly getting louder, and the flashing lights briefly light up the inside of the van. Etho flinches at the sudden noise and light, and Beef bumps their shoulders together reassuringly. He hopes it helps. The police car is probably heading to the same place they are, police backup normally gets called for missions like these.
And the mission?
A previously b-tier villain, calling himself Wither, had revealed necromancy, going on a murder spree and doing frankly horrible things to the bodies before raising them from the dead. With their reanimation, they have become bound to him, and he now has an army, ready to take over the city.
Beef’s not really sure how they’re meant to stop him.

Summary
A storm hits the fishing ship Beef works on and suddenly he's tossed overboard from his ordinary life into a world of pirates and crooks. Etho, the young captain of the boat who rescued him, is kind to him and even though they only have five days together, Beef finds himself falling in love with the most dangerous pirate on the Mooshroom Sea. Their romance fated to die right from the start and Etho is scared to show weakness, but Beef thinks that maybe, if only for a few days, they can have this one thing.
