The morning after their night together at the inn, Rhys and Feyre are flying to their next destination. Their plans go awry when ash arrows appear out of nowhere and hit Feyre, rather than Rhys. She wakes some time later, then proceeds to put Rhys in an impossible situation when the very tonic that saved her life sends her into a heat that she insists can only be helped by him.
He really regrets not having told her they were mates the night before.

Rhysand smirked, and his breath washed over my too-hot skin as he purred, “I’m not so sure that's what your fair maiden wants.” He raised one dark eyebrow in a sinfully elegant gesture, and something inside of me clenched. “Is it, my little Spring flower?”
I said nothing in return, frozen between fear and anticipation. Surely Tamlin wouldn’t allow him to take it this far…?
“Anything else, Rhys, please—”
“I think you’d be surprised at your little flower’s fantasies, dear Tamlin,” Rhysand continued conversationally, my chin still held in his fingers. His smile grew. “I think your emissary might be surprised as well.” He leaned closer to me, inhaling deeply, and his eyes fluttered for a moment. “I’m not sure what excites her more—the idea of both of you taking her at once, or the idea of the two of you taking each other.”-

Explosions and fire and the sound of beating wings raged somewhere nearby, and Feyre's stupid illegally downloaded Villain Tracker was not working. Of course the dumb thing did not track heroes, with that being a big Government No No, but lately its villain tracking had been sketchy at best.
Feyre was still hopelessly trying to get the stupid thing to work so she knew which way to run when she heard noises above her and glanced up. Only to see a limp body free falling through the air from the nearest rooftop and plummeting straight into a nearby dumpster with a sickening crunch.
