Bailey Gina awakens in an old house after being kidnapped. A bunch of teenagers who have unfortunately shared the same fate see them as well realize that they have to play a cruel game, involving death, where every night someone, or sometimes, some people, die.
The cruel game assigns everyone to either the Good, Evil, or Neutral Side. All sides fight for victory, at the expense of others dying.This game is called Flicker.

A cosmic event took place years ago that led forms of magic taking forms, which, harnessed by anybody, would give them powers beyond human ability. Many fell into the wrong hands and became what the very shows and comics the people grew up on into adversaries upon the street. Their fiction became fact. To counteract, there would be good samaritans who chose to step forward and declare themselves as superheroes. However, with these magical artifacts, they tend to bring out a persona of sorts upon the user.

Dan wakes up along his best friend Alex in the middle of a forest, with no recollection on how they got there, and barely anything about themselves either. Later, they find a group of people in the woods, who have also woken up in the forest with almost no memories. Later on, they discover that they have been selected to play something called "Flicker", a deranged murder game which needs everyone to play against each other, only one team can remain victorious, Good or Evil
When Dan realizes that the murders are real, and that his life and everyone else's is genuinely at stake, he realizes that he needs to win the game… and make it out alive
