Freshman year. Good riddance East Highland, hello New York University. There was no further place Lexi wanted to stray from then East Highland. Away from the place where she was known nothing more than "Little Howard." So, what more to do then pick up her life, move cross-country and What she doesn't anticipate at her first college party was, none other, than the trash human being that was Nate Jacobs.
But... Something had changed. He seemed different -- Lighter. Those who surrounded him didn't cower, no one had fear in their eyes. Instead, he accepted everyone with a smile, a handshake with a clap on the back... He WAS different. Nate looks toward her, his own fear bubbling to the surface. Someone who could expose his former self, pulling him away from the new life he'd created for himself. So, he he does what she thought he'd never do. RUN.

Nate and Lexi end up going to NYU and while Nate is supposed to be a Sophomore, but what she learns is that he's a "changed guy" (time will tell); the information had come to light by their professor asking Lexi to tutor Nate. Lucky her. What's to come?

Following the aftermath of Cal's abrupt departure, Nate wrestles with how to take control of his life and contend with his future. Laurie won't let Rue forget what she owes her, while slowly, a string of dead men unravels in the surrounding LA area.
Takes place during the latter half of S2 of Euphoria, following the events of S2E4, "You Who Cannot See, Think of Those Who Can". Loosely follows the timeline and general structure of the proceeding episodes, with the Criminal Minds cast and new plotpoints added for zest and verve. Also a fix-it fic of sorts because Sam Levinson did not make the best use of his airtime for plot.
