The Justice Gang, what a stupid name! They rejected Chris, and completely ruined his confidence. Insulted his skills, and made an off-handed comment he could only perceive as a compliment. He just wanted to forget about this day, drown himself in whatever substances he could find and move on.
“Yeah, jus- come over, alright? Bring a change of clothes and shit, don’t come in’ costume.” Chris babbles through the receiver, sounding only slightly intoxicated.
“Soo, no costume, a change of clothes, and you’re inviting me?” Adrian questions, “Is this a pool party? You don’t even have a pool at your dads—“
“Just fucking do it! You’re always asking to come, always giving me shit when I ‘ont invite you, just listen!” Adrian peeled the phone from his ear, the berating getting to be way too loud.
