Summary
Something felt wrong while I was waking up, but it took a while before I booted up enough to remember what it was.
And, when I did, I jerked in my restraints. Which I had now, apparently. Joy.
So, to summarize: The company’s crappy equipment fell apart mid-transport, unlocking my cubicle. I couldn’t fall into stasis again, so I spent the time watching media, which someone somehow noticed. A young human came to investigate and had enough information to know I was rogue. I panicked.
And now I was tied up somewhere.
This was shaping up to be a great contract (that was sarcasm).

Summary
After the events of System Collapse, Perihelion and its crew head back to Mihira and New Tideland while SecUnit and its humans left for Preservation. The parting, however, was going to be a temporary one. Once Perihelion is given a full checkup and upgrade, they can all go to Preservation, then SecUnit can join them for their next mission.
Iris ponders how her mixed thoughts towards SecUnit has changed over the course of several weeks she had spent with it.

Summary
Iris is being so stupid. It's 1am and she's sneaking to Peri's medical suite. She's just had a (trauma-induced) nightmare and Peri has definitely been affected by its trauma too. A nighttime pact to go make a link to her augments, to be kept an eternal secret, is terrible judgement from them both.
Iris likes her nighttime pacts with Peri. This is really comforting after her nightmare.
(Or, Iris has a nightmare, and Perihelion has a solution. It turns out pretty cute and intimate. Maybe a hint too intimate by accident but that's okay, Iris can handle remembering it.)
