Summary
Its true name was spoken in the soft clicks of keys turning in latches, in the bells tolling, overlapping, thrumming a way that was more akin to flesh pulsing then metal-borne clashes, in a background roar of radiance and flowing energy from the celestial bodies that surrounded, made up, distorted its form all at once.
The name mortals gave it was nothing alike its true name. Names, perhaps, was more apt. How many had been attributed to it across not just the ticking of the clock but in the different sounds that separated such creatures from one another? Too many to count. Too many to remember, with each one existing as a speck, barely a piece of cosmic dust before it withered away into the drift.
But each one called out to it, rousing it from a slumber with its eyes open no matter the speck that called out~
