When Medic runs low on the supplies needed to completely fix Kissy's arm, Doey and Angel travel down into the depths of The Factory in search of assistance.
Assistance that only Doey himself knew about as those in Safe Haven weren't his only friends...
(This is a short story to throw my own toy OC onto the fandom pile. This will take place at the end of Chapter 4, but Safe Haven was never destroyed and The Player stayed behind to help.)

Summary
After the factory collapses, the bits and pieces that remain of Doey find themselves carried through pipes and underground rivers until he eventually ends up in an unassuming creek bed. The sound of an argument wakes him from his semi-conscious state and he steps in to help you fend off a rude neighbor.
It's a second chance for Doey, and he doesn't want to squander it. He'll be your protector, your helper, whatever you need. He knows the truth of what happened to him would break your heart. Maybe Poppy had a point about it staying buried and forgotten forever.
Meanwhile, you can't help but wonder what happened to the poor, sweet guy to make him think he's so unworthy.

But, a planned to be ‘quick visit’ in and out after receiving a letter telling them everyone was still there turns into a long game of chase with monsters still left in the building. And along with realizing the gory horrors Playtime had hiding just under the surface, they learn that they cannot die. Whether through some supernatural force or their mind being their worst enemy.
Seems there was a lot more down here than they anticipated.
