Summary
Magpies are known to mate for life, this isn’t unique among birds but it is something they are known for together with their resourcefulness, which is something that LSTRs are also known for. It is in fact one of the reasons for their name. Meanwhile, no one ever took much interest in them to get to know their love habits but if there is an example in favor of the idea of LSTRs mating for life then that is Elster-512.
The same Elster who is now having an emotional breakdown thrashing on the floor as she cries and apologizes over and over.

Ariadne helped Theseus escaping the Laberynth by tying a string to him, so he always come back to her, no matter how far away he was, Theseus will always return back to Ariadne. Now Ariane would do the same for Elster. Holding tight to the same string.
Canon divergence Au sorta based on @artemisChosen tweets. Where they finally found a planet, however things are off . Ariane and Elster keep having dreams and memories, that flew as soon as they come, there's things that shouldn't exist.

Summary
Set after the artifact ending. Ariane and Elster awake in a peaceful town on Vineta, with no memory of their tragedy. Living lives with a past they never experienced yet remember anyways; they are happy.
But when the truth of the world bleeds into their happy lives, they must grapple with cosmic terror and the people they unknowingly hurt.
If they are to find true happiness and peace, they must make it. Carve it into the face of the world, if they are strong enough.
