Summary
Marian Hawke had always lived her life for her family—but magic took them all from her. Her mother killed by blood magic, her sister by the Blight that the magisters of old unleashed upon the world, her brother now a templar who no longer speaks to his apostate sister. She tells herself that if she can just be the perfect Andrastian, maybe one day it’ll make up for the fact that she’s a mage. Maybe then she’ll feel clean.
She falls in love with a Chantry Brother who's also the most selfless man she's ever met, the only person she knows who carries as much guilt as she does. And though they’re both desperate to atone, when they look into each other’s eyes, neither can imagine why someone so wonderful should feel so damned. She knows there’s no real precedent for their chaste marriage. An apostate joining the Chantry in the first place is revolutionary. But Sebastian's enthusiasm makes her believe that maybe the Maker might actually let them have this.
Then comes the destruction of the Kirkwall Chantry and the invocation of the Right of Annulment.
Afterwards, nothing at all is certain.

Summary
After Kirkwall's Chantry was destroyed, the city was caught in the middle of the mages and templars waging war. With too many wounded and too few healers, they accept an offer from the Ostwick Circle to send aid. Yvette Trevelyan is all too eager to see the city her cousin, the Champion of Kirkwall, wrote about in his letters. She's used to sneaking away from her overseers, and she goes straight to the Hanged Man. There are rumors the Champion himself still appears there, and she isn't the only one who's looking for him. Even if he doesn't show, she's still determined to have a good time. When you're a Circle mage, you have to make every moment of freedom count.

Summary
When rogue Templars caught up to Hawke in Ferelden, three years on from the explosion at the Chantry in Kirkwall and the collapse of his entire world, Hawke didn't expect to survive. He definitely didn't expect rescue in the form of a chaotic but friendly mercenary band, and their rather large Qunari leader.
It's not the life he had in Kirkwall. It's not the friends he had before, or the love that left him broken, but it's something. It might even be good, in time.
And then the Enclave exploded.

The first thing that registered was the glow— he didn't pay it too much attention, the back of his mind more likely than not having registered it as the flickering of a torch.
The next two things he noticed came together — the white hair and a familiar delirious voice calling out his name.
Fenris.
What was Fenris doing here? And more importantly, why was Fenris calling out his name after all these years?

"Were you on fire?"
Hawke grimaces. "Briefly."
"You—" Anders quite literally bites his tongue, looking back over his shoulder. He can hear no templars nearby, nor can he see their torches, but it still wouldn't do to be overly loud. "—Will be the death of me."
After a close call while liberating a Circle, Anders and Hawke take a moment to regroup.

Watching her do this was kiling him.
Killing Anders, keeping him up at night, keeping him here even when she screamed or filled endless days with silence — and he'd —
Keep doing it.
Keep doing it bleeding and breathless and cold.
Keep hounding her until she hated him, keep seeing those flashes of metal with unblinded eyes, watch that golden rage that glowed in her gaze, unable to hide it — Anders would watch, and dig in his heels, and try."Do you hear me, Hale?"
"I see you."

Summary
“That's all of them,” Anders confirmed for Hawke. Then his gaze was drawn to the wound, still bleeding on Hawke's arm.
The pull of it hadn't lessened any. It was hard to think, hard to recall how long it had been since he last fed. All he knew was that it had been too long. He knew that had seemed necessary for some reason but it was difficult to think why now that the thirst was creeping up on him stronger than it had ever been.

In the weeks after fleeing Kirkwall, a fight with a group of templars forces Anders to deal with some things he has been avoiding.

Summary
Anders has only ever known exactly two types of elven women: those who loathe him with every perfect little inch of their being and find him physically and morally repulsive, and those he swears are hiding their evil nature under a deceptively sweet and somewhat gullible exterior.
And, as luck would have it, there’s currently one of each standing in front of him.

"We need to talk."
It's a stupid thing to say out loud, Anders realises, what with the whole issue being that it's all in his head. He is all in his head. Well, he. Justice-he, not him-himself-he.
It's already going splendidly, isn't it.
