More than pleased to put the peculiarities of The Great Mutato & Company behind them now, Mulder and Scully return to their motel room with a full intention of getting ready to go homeward to The District so that they can get on unpack and slip into 'holiday mode.' Scully in particular is keen to think about an upcoming trip to California.... just never mind that she has one or two distant misgivings. But extravagantly bad weather keeps Mulder and Scully stranded in their hotel room. They have everything they need. And make the most of it. Still... Rather some interesting conversations take place.

Summary–After a traumatic experience, Mulder fabricated an X-file as a way to help Scully escape reality. Over the years, they returned to “investigate” that special place and take advantage of all it had to offer, exploring aspects of their relationship that they attempted to ignore in the real world. As time passed, it grew harder to confine the relationship they shared to that specific time and place.
