Summary
There is a door in front of him. A yellow door. He knows the dream it used to lead to; he knows it well. But that’s not where it leads anymore. He does not know what is behind it anymore, and he is deathly afraid of finding out.
The Archivist turns away.

Jon can't sleep, so he does what he always does: work. Listen. There's a pile of tapes and paper statements waiting for him when he returns, and the first one is Martin's conversation with Elias.
Comments my beta reader left on this fic, as endorsements (because I am bad at fic summaries):
- "OH. WAIT. HOLY SHIT. HOLY FUCK. OH MY GOD."
- "I SEE WHERE YOURE GOING WITH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
- "okay I cannot. convey in words the facial expressions I’m making about this shit. Oh My God."
- "VIBRATING. FUCKING. EYES. EMOJI."
- "Bestie we all know your gay ass is NOT gonna do that"
and more! -

Summary
When Jon is killed, ending his role as ruler of his apocalyptic terror-filled world, he wakes up several years in the past. At first, he sees it as a chance to make things better. To fix them. To undo all his poor decisions and foolish, half-informed choices. To make amends, even at the cost of his own life.
Except that he can’t. If there’s one thing Jon has learned from destroying the world and ruling over it, it’s that he has never had the power to improve anyone’s life. There’s really no point in trying. Besides, in a world where dying just means waking up some random evening in 2015, why not selfishly spend some time making things better for yourself? Ignore the existential futility and grab what happiness is possible. Or spend a few lives getting petty revenge. When nothing matters, what else is there to do but whatever you want?
If only Jon were capable of being that simple.

She contacts Melanie for a shoulder to lean on. It doesn't go well.

Summary
People keep disappearing from a little town up North. Obviously, the most rational way to approach this is to have Jon and Martin go up there and investigate what's causing these disappearances. Obviously, if they want to get any answers, they're going to have to pretend to be a couple. All while trying to avoid getting sucked into the Lonely.
It's going to be fine.Series

Things don't usually go the way anybody expects them to; months after surviving the Unknowing, Tim Stoker opens the front door of the Institute to see a girl that he's only seen in Polaroids and his nightmares.
A post s3 (somewhat) fix-it where Tim (and eventually, Sasha) survive the Unknowing and tie up their loose ends.

Summary
Tim wasn’t quite sure why he thought it would be a good idea to go to Jon’s flat after being released from the hospital. It had taken quite a bit of arguing with the landlord, but Tim managed to convince him to not only keep Jon’s lease going (payments were automatically being withdrawn from Jon’s account anyway) but also to allow Tim to maintain the flat while Jon was gone.
Gone, of course, being the kindest way Tim could phrase everything.

Summary
Hell of a thing, dealing with three losses and so many more emotions all at once. All while you have a bastard offering peace in solitude hovering over you.
Funny that, "Goodbye," is amongst the words he never said to the men he loved. Funny that their relationship didn't end before his lover did.
A pain trying to balance mourning with all that.

Summary
And then Melanie turns back to the doorway, and there is something there. “You are not the Archivist,” says the thing that has come through the door in the moment between one blink of the eye and the next. Melanie’s head hurts to look at it straight on; the old wound in her leg throbs in time to her still-developing migraine.
“No,” she says. The shock does not stop her from oh-so-slowly reaching for the knife that she knows Jon keeps in his top desk drawer. “No, I’m not. Sorry to disappoint.”

Summary
He thanked whatever fucked up force was responsible for Jon’s survival and recovery. Tim wasn’t aware that Jon had woken up until he saw the archivist in his office. It’d been god damn lonely, being stuck in an archive where the closest thing to a friend was ignoring him.
