Deep within the ocean, the surface world is unaware of the inhumane experiments conducted on human beings in the Hadal blacksite. Fukunaga was none the wiser when brought on as a researcher. Climbing the ranks from testing on ocean wildlife and specimens, he met Hiroo when it was assigned as a test subject. Regardless of the situation separating them, closeness brew between them over time.
A recent containment breach left Shouhei out of commission for a significant amount of time-- while also freeing a considerable amount of the captive experiments. Yet, despite access to its freedom, other researchers have begun to notice the leviathan hovering outside the facility, waiting.
