Techno’s eyes go wide. “What?”

They all know him, even those who cannot remember before they were a guardian. When children on the globe seem to be absent from life the Guardians and the woman in the moon all know what to do.

“Fine!” Wilbur walks away, heading toward his pouting corner.
“Wilbur, hey, wait–” Techno grabs Wilbur’s sleeve. “I didn’t mean to make you actually upset.” Techno makes a soft burrow-come-please-sorry and Wilbur finds himself spinning around to reach for his burrow-mate.
“Soft.”
“Shut it.”
Wilbur smiles as he gives Techno a hug, Techno’s hands reaching up to brush through Wilbur’s long, soft ear fur.

Wilbur is just a typical guy, working in the bookshop with long hours. Can't be too mad when his best friend slowly becomes his brother then his twin. They were rabbit hybrids after all, one of the rarest (ironic considering that rabbits are supposed to multiply rapidly) hybrid in the city.
Wilbur has always been mocked for his status, but after a close call with two blonde bird hybrids, Techno says that they need to hide.
But why? Weren't they his family? That's what they claimed after all....
And their food is starting to run low....

Tommy was fuming. He’d woken up to his two brothers gone, only leaving a shitty note each as explanation. Wilbur’s was bad, stating that he’d gone into the village and would be home before dinner, but Techno’s was somehow even worse.
Gone out. Be back later.
-TechnoWas it really so difficult to just say where he went? Or when he’d be back? Tommy was going to punt both of his brothers when they got back. How dare they leave him? They put in place stupid rules, like that he couldn’t leave the house without one of them, but then left him alone for hours at a time?
Maybe he should leave, just to see what they would do when they got back and realised he wasn’t there. His lip twitched upwards at the thought of them tearing the house apart, ripping through the village, scouring the forest, just for him. Little old Tommy.
Or maybe he should set out to find them. He didn’t like the idea of them hanging out with other people, talking to people that weren’t him, while he had to sit at home waiting for them like a good little brother. Fuck that.
