Summary
Karalynn Bristow has successfully kept her identity as a mage secret for her entire life, in addition to generally living under the radar. When the opportunity arises to attend the Divine Conclave as a spy, she answers her Arl's call to duty. However, she ends up in the middle of one of the worst disasters ever to mark Thedas and magically manages to survive. Not only that, she emerges with a mysterious and potentially dangerous power that makes her the target of both religious praise and fanatical evil. This series follows along with the Dragon Age: Inquisition story, with a few liberties I will take with canon here and there (will advise ahead of time). This will be the first of three stories encompassing the main Inquisition storyline, and will eventually lead into a Cullen/Inquisitor relationship. Please make sure to read the notes!

Summary
When the Conclave is destroyed, two Dalish elves fall out of the Breach, and each of them has identically marked green glowing hands. One of the elves is everything you would expect; the other, with her short, well-muscled build, her dwarf-like features, and her unusual magical abilities, promises to lead to far more questions than answers.
This is a non-canon retelling of DA:I from beginning to end with far more emphasis on the relationships between the principal characters than on the specific quests from the game. The main plot points are the same, but who is involved, how things are resolved, and the resulting implications may be different.
Meta question: How much can I change things about the story and still use the big cutscenes as consistent checkpoints?

Drifting sort of aimlessly and then get sucked into far too much insanity that starts with cleaning chamberpots and ends with throwing fruit to save the Divine at the conclave only to fail and get a glowing green hand for your trouble? Yeah that happened. Proceed to ignore the advice of the random apostate and make a horrible impression? Did that. A lot. Happen to have an issue that keeps rendering speech painful? That's just life. Or the one with an inquisitor who actually keeps trying to NOT do anything properly and somehow things are working out. If she's annoying everyone in the process at least some people are laughing.
