In Katniss' final year eligible for the Hunger Games, if she were to be reaped, who would she be up against from Twelve?
Could these unknown tributes, enemies by nature of their situation, foster within her a familiarity and fondness so profound it could save them all?
I wrote a very rudimentary version of this back in 2011 when I was 17 years old, and have since decided to rewrite it in 2023. It is a story of family lost, family found, resistance in the face of great adversity, and falling in love even when everything is falling apart.
