Summary
Sarah Ketchum is a young girl who lives in Palette Town with her parents, Ash and Serena Ketchum. With her tenth birthday only a week away, the excitement is mounting as she prepares for her first ever Pokémon journey. One that will start in Kanto and end in Kalos like her father before her. Summary
XY Ash is probably my favorite version of the character. He’s hot, strong, confident, cool, kind, and heroic. He’s always praising his Pokémon and friends. Truly a shonen protagonist. He’s the most mature version of the character too, and I try to incorporate parts of his personality and appearance whenever he’s portrayed in my stories. That said, Ash has come a long way as a character, and it’s nice to sometimes include the less mature side of him.
In this story, Ash agrees to help his friend Sanpei with knot practice, not realizing exactly what he’s getting himself into.

To be sure today was a bore. Nothing exciting was happening. Even after Ash went through his usual regimen with Greninja, Talonflame, Noiverne, Hawlucha, and his partner since the beginning in Kanto: Pikachu. They'd already sent Team Rocket flying into the sky with a powerful Thunderbolt from Pikachu. Clemont had already blown up an invention. It just seemed so routine. Greninja was beginning to wonder what would break the monotony. Or if anything would brighten the idea when he caught a whiff of something on the air. A smell he knew well, though he often ignored it.
This time, though that scent was mingled with the scents of two friends. Sanpei and his Gekkouga. That couldn't be right, though. There wasn't any way a Pokémon and its master could do that. He briefly drew upon his link with Ash, told him where he was going, trying to keep the reasoning behind it hidden, and used his great speed to appear as though he vanished.

Spin-off of Pokémon Reset Bloodlines, written by Viroro-kun. The Hero Greninja has always been the aim for many of the young ninja of Kalos' Ninja village, and Sanpei is no different than them. However, a surprise attack on his hometown leads him to question his resolve: what does truly make a hero? Knowledge of the main story and one-shots is suggested, but not essential.
