Realizing he had none, he sighed in relief, for a few seconds he’d thought the asshole’s zombie form had gotten him infected, and unchained himself before approaching the terrified Seong-kyeong and Su-an before leading them into the cab.

Things between Jin-hee and Yong-guk weren't particularly smooth, but he was her fate. She knew it, their schoolmates knew it, their parents knew it, their teachers knew it, the dog down the street probably knew it.
She thought he did, too.
But their life was like a romance drama anyways, just one that hadn't reached the end yet, so when she decided to suprise him on the train, she just knew everything was going to work out.
Until it didn't.
But that's another timeline and another world, and here, "until it didn't" disappears.
